Austrotherm, a leading producer of EPS and XPS in central and eastern Europe, has started another polystyrene production site in Horia, Romania. The new plant required an investment of EUR 8 mln and is the company's third site in the country. The site will produce 150,000 linear metres pa of extruded polystyrene foam (XPS) and create 30 jobs. Austrotherm houses other XPS facilities in Purbach, Austria and Nis, Serbia. Austrotherm products manufactured in Romania are sourced to nations including Ukraine, the Republic of Moldova, Bulgaria and Hungary.
