PHP Mica Nozzle heaters are a unique design developed by the company. These heaters are available with & without outer insulation covers in S.S sheathing depending upon applications which provides the best combination of physical strength, high emission and good thermal conductivity to heat cylindrical parts, good for sheath temperature upto 250 degree Centigrade.

For maximum connecting surface and protect exposed terminals, a specially designed steel box is affixed on the heater, where the terminal wires are securely fastened to an assuming positive contact with the windings, providing maximum amperage carrying capacity.

A specific gauge nickel-chrome resistance ribbon wire is properly engineered to achieve the lowest winding temperature possible, resulting in maximum heater life. The ribbon wire is evenly spaced wound on specially selected mica strip providing even heat distribution, thus eliminating hot spotting that can cause premature heater failure.

Specially selected mica grade and thickness is used to insulate windings providing excellent thermal conductivity and dielectric strength.

These heaters are available in various lead terminations and clamping variations.

For minimum heat loss nozzle heaters are also specially made as per customers specification with insulated cover on the outer surface of the heater.

Terminal Connection:
- Mica Nozzle Heaters above 40mm will have SS 304 Terminal Box with 500mm long terminal wire, unless specified
- Electric Terminal Connections for Mica Nozzle Heaters above 40mm dia will be provided with SS protection caps at center of width either at 180 Deg opposite the Clamping or 90 deg from Clamping, unless specified
- Nozzle Heaters below 40mm Dia will NOT have Protection Caps for Terminals, but have Direct cable terminal exit through edges on both sides of gap
- All Thermocouple Holes for Mica Nozzle Heaters (if required) will be provided at center of width either at 180 Deg opposite the Clamping or 90 deg from Clamping, unless specified along with drawing
- All Mica Nozzle Heaters Below 60mm Dia will not have Screw Post Terminals

Thermocouple Holes: Normally required for clearance of the thermocouple probes or holding bolts. Oversize gap can in many cases serve the same purpose, using the centre of the gap as a starting point, specify location in terms of degrees and size of the hole. Minimum of ½" is required from the hole to the edge of the heater. For critical holes please provide detailed drawing.

Note: As far as possible please avoid thermocouple holes. Try and locate them in the heater gap, since holes in the heater body complicates the internal wiring resulting in less heating area and also turns out to be more expensive.

All Thermocouple Holes for Mica Nozzle Heaters (if required) will be provided at center of width either at 180 Deg opposite the Clamping or 90 deg from Clamping, unless specified along with drawing.
