Cartridge HeatersManufacturer
Hitco Electricals Pvt. Ltd., India
Hitco Low density cartridge heaters:
This standard cartridge heater is a proven low cost solution for most heating applications its usage is however limited by the maximum surface loading upto 5 W/cm2.
Specifications:
- Max. surface load: 5 W/cm2
- Wattage tolerance: +/- 10 percent
- Std. Dia. range: 8 mm to 50 mm
- Diameter tolerance: +/- 0.1 mm
- Std. length: Min 40 mm
- Length tolerance: +/- 2 mm
- Max. sheath temperature: 4000 C
Characteristics:
- Flexible nickel lead.
- Ceramic insulating cap.
- Ceramic insulative core with power filled magnesium oxide.
- Ni-Cr resistance (80 / 20z).
- Outer sheath.
- End disk.
Medium density cartridge heaters:
Medium density cartridge heater is a proven performer like the high density cartridge heater (HDC). That's because the same quality materials go into its constructions; MgO insulations, nickel-chromium resistance wire, silicone-fiberglass insulated lead wires. The only difference is that the medium density cartridge is packaged in a more economical design. Instead of having the high watt density capabilities; it's made of medium watt density application. These heating elements can be supplied with all the different connection leads. Supplied with surface load upto 15 W/cm2.
Specifications:
- Max. surface load: 15 W/cm2
- Wattage tolerance: +/- 10 percent
- Std. Dia. range: 8 mm to 25 mm
- Diameter tolerance: +/- 0.05 mm
- Std. length: Min 50 mm
- Length tolerance: +/- 2 mm
- Max. sheath temperature: 600 Degree C
Characteristics
- Flexible nickel lead.
- Moisture proof high temperature seal.
- Selected magnesium oxide with granular structures
- Ni-Cr resistance (80/20)
- Outer sheath (SS 304 or 321).
- Welded end disk
Performance capabilities:
- Part temperatures to 600 Degree C (1100 F)
- Maximum watt density to 15 W/cm2)
- Maximum voltage to 480V (AC)
Features and benefits:
- Magnesium oxide insulation, compacted to the proper density, results in high dielectric strength and contributes to faster heat-up.
- Nickel-chromium resistance wire, precisely wound through the heated length, assures even, efficient distribution of heating to the sheath.
- Metallurgically-bonded conductor pins, crimp connected to the resistance wires, ensure trouble-free electrical continuity. This process provides lead flexibility just 8 mm (5/16 inch) form the end of the heater.
- Flexible standard wires, with silicone-fiberglass sleeves, insulate the wires to temperatures of 2500 C (480 F)
- Optional lead end with silicone rubber seal protects the leads against moisture and other contaminates.
Typical applications:
- Heating of manifolds
- Heating of dies
- Heating of platens
- Heating of hot stamping
- Packaging machines
- Injection molding machine
- Extrusion machines.
