Split or D type Cartridge heaters are designed specially for die or mold heating, where the holes are poorly drilled or worn out. The heaters expand and create intimate contact with wall of the hole. The heater transfer conductivity is excellent as the expansion is in the directions. The heaters are compacted to maximum density for excellent heat transfer and dielectric strength.
