Flame Retardant Grades
Carbofoil - is a flame retardant additive based on natural graphite for Polyurethane and Latex foam. It is also used for coating materials such as rubber, polystyrene, wood, textile and paper.
The products prevents the spread of flame within the base material by expanding when exposed to high temperature, thus forming a barrier between the material and oxygen in the air.
Carbofoil complies with BS 5852 sources 5 and source 7.
Advantages
1. Little or no change in the existing manufacturing process.
2. Non-toxic and non-hazardous.
3. Eliminates toxic gas emissions from burning base material.
4. Prevents base material from dripping during burning.
