Optical Brightener:
Optical brightener masterbatches are added in polymers to reduce yellowing, improved whiteness, and to enhance the brightness of a product.
The objectives of Calco Polychem’s OB masterbatch are:
- Improvement of initial color of plastics which are inherently often slightly yellowish.
- Production of brilliant white end –use articles.
- Increase of the brilliancy of colored and white pigment articles.
This optical brightening masterbatch works with low levels from 0.1 – 4 percent. At high loading a blue tinge is seen on the film. This masterbatch contains primary and secondary antioxidants.
