We manufacture a number of grades of Polymer Processing Aids ( PPA ) to meet various needs of different polymers and processes. Thy are:
PPA for LLDPE rich blend films, drip laterals and mono layer HDPE films.
Polymer Processing Aid for PP - Specifically meant for CPP, BOPP films and PP Raffia application.
PE PPA - For UHMW HDPE based containers, five layer films where processing temperatures are around 2400 C or above and HDPE Raffia.
Percentage Of Active Ingredient - All the three grades having 3% active ingredient.
Dosage - It is recommended to use 1.5% during start up for about 1 hour and then 0.5 to 0.7% on regular basis.
Benefits - Besides the above a number of other benefits are observed. They are -
- Reduction in die build up - The use of appropriate PPA has shown efficient ways in reducing die build up (DBU). PPA additive & migrate to the surface of the polymer melt that facilitate polymer slip. At a given throughput this results in a reduction of the stress level in polymer and therefore reduction in die swell as well. In addition to this, PPA coating reduces the surface energy of the die wall resulting in less propensity of adherence of the degraded material and pigments to the metal surface. Together with die swell reduction, the low surface energy will also promote efficient DBU reduction.
