Liquid Epoxy Co-Stabilizers
The most common costabilizer based on Epoxy compounds is epoxidised soyabean oil. Due to the phenomenon of synergistic effect, the stabilization efficiency of liquid metal soaps stabilizer systems is considerably improved by the addition of epoxy costabilizer. Addition of this compound also prevents the sudden blackening of formulations containing Zinc (Zinc burning). This costabilizer in combination with metal carboxylates is not only able to bind hydrogen chloride but is also able to substitute labile chlorine atoms under the catalytic influence of Cadmium or Zinc ions.
PSTAB 901(Epoxidised Soyabean Oil) is of low odour and light colour. It is an excellent costabilizer to be used in conjunction with all PSTAB metal carboxylate stabilizers.
