We offer a range of UV stabilisers and UV stabiliser masterbatches. Polymers, especially polyolefins show degradation when exposed to Ultra Violet Light source. This limits use for outdoor applications. PP, HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE are susceptible to attack by light, oxygen and heat resulting in loss of mechanical properties, gloss and colour fading. UV stabilizers are the right solution to overcome this problem.
Our range includes - UV Absorbers (UVA) - Hindered Amine Light Stabilizers (HALS)
UVAs slow down the degradation process by preferentially absorbing harmful UV radiation and dissipating it as thermal energy. However, high concentration of absorbers and sufficient thickness of the polymer are required before enough absorption takes place to effectively retard photo degradation. In some applications, combinations of UVAs and HALS are used to create synergistic interaction that may enhance light stability. HALS is very effective and efficient stabilizers for polyolefins. They do not absorb UV radiation but act to inhibit degradation of polymer. Significant levels of stabilization are achieved at relatively low concentrations. HALS high efficiency and longevity are due to a cyclic process wherein HALS are regenerated rather than consumed in the regeneration process.
