- Tool boxes are predominantly made of steel ; whereas in most countries like USA, Japan, Australia, Europe, even developing countries plastics tool boxes are replacing steel tool boxes. Primarily the reasons for this are cheaper cost, lightweight (easy to carry) yet durable, easy maintenance and better aesthetics. (For example car bumpers, chairs, pallets, crates were earlier manufactured from metal / wood ; but now almost everywhere plastics has substituted them).


- On a marketing front, the usage of tool boxes are enormous. To list some of them would be defence, public bus companies, railways, shipping, garages / automotive industry, electronics manufacturers, etc. Being a semi-industrial product, it would even have demand from households.


- Since several companies have spare capacity on their injection moulding machines, they just have to invest in used moulds. Hence can have quick payback on investment.
