'MaxStretch,' a thin gauge stretch packaging film based on a formulation that includes ExxonMobil Chemical's Enable metallocene polyethylene (mPE) technology has been launched. The MaxStretch film structure allows for no pre-stretching, and it is positioned as an ideal pallet packaging solution to secure, protect and stabilise palletised goods during transportation. The film addresses sustainability issues by using 40% less material but does not compromise on film performance and quality. According to a senior executive with company, a 12 micron MaxStretch film exhibits equal or better tensile strength, puncture resistance and other performance benefits than a conventional 20 micron film.
