With an aim to position KAEC Plastics Valley as a global center of excellence in the plastics sector, Emaar, The Economic City (Emaar.E.C) developing King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) has signed a memorandum of understating (MoU) with StrateSphere Enterprises LLC (StrateSphere) in collaboration with PolymerOhio, Inc and the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA).
Under the agreement, StrateSphere and PolymerOhio - the association of the world's leading polymer and plastics manufacturers representing Ohio as a global center of excellence in polymers and advanced materials, will collaborate with Emaar.E.C and SAGIA will pursue the development of KAEC Plastics Valley.
Ohio's polymer industry has over 2,800 companies that collectively position Ohio as a global centre par-excellence in plastics & advanced materials production, plastics products manufacturing, R&D and educational programs. As per a senior member of Emmar E.C, the MoU will transfer the expertise of the Ohio's plastic manufacturer's relating to the strategies and sustainability, to the KAEC plastic industries creating a core for the plastics industry in the region.
