Automated Thermoforming Line for Appliances
Product Details
Know-how, reability, repeatability, quality and high productivity are the characteristic that distinguish our thermoforming machines in use at world's top producers of household appliances. Machines can be fed either from sheet or from roll. Our machines can produce up to 120 pieces/Hr of refrigerator inner liners using 4mm thick HIPS sheets, and /or 220 pieces/Hr of refrigerator inner door liners using 1, 5mm thick HIPS sheets. The thermoforming machines are modular in design, and are therefore able to offer numerous configurations to better suit the Customers Needs.
Station of Sheet Loading: Various systems are used, with baskets or rollers mounted in line or transversely. When the sheet is loaded, it is centered and a sensor checks for the presence of a single sheer.
Transfer: The system provides for two solutions, using pneumatic clamps or perforating chain feed. Both solutions are reliable, maintain and guarantee precise step-by-step movements of the pieces in all stations. The choice is made considering the accuracy of the cut precision needed and on the type of thermoformed part required.
Heating Systems: One or more heating banks are used in a sandwich configuration. Heaters used are ceramic (high efficiency) Elstein HTS available also with power adjustment in closed loop with pilot heaters. In case of the machine stopping, the heating panels are retracted horizontally.
Thermoforming Station: Two configurations are possible: one with air pressure in the box, and the other with applied vacuum in the cooling bell. The letter solution is used in most cases. There is a quick mould change mechanism.
All the accessories are available, such as: electrical fans for the part cooling, plug assists, thermo-regulation units for the moulds, photocell to control the height of the balloon, quick connecting utilities for the movable mould inserts, to ensure the quality of the thermoformed part with high complexity and large production quantities. Thermoforming is usually done drawing a vacuum in the mould. The machine can be fitted with mechanisms for the combined thermoforming using vacuum in the mould, and air pressure in the cooling bell.
