Product Details

Our VCI stretch wrap film is a PE film which contains a combination of VCI-inhibitors for the protection of iron, steel, copper, brass, bronze and other metals. It protects metal through direct contact and vapor actions. The VCI vaporizes and then settles on the metal surface, protecting also hard to reach areas such as drill hole crevices etc. VCI stretch wrap film is a transparent film, readily adaptable to automatic packaging. It allows users to easily identify and inspect parts without opening the package. Our VCI stretch wrap film is compatible with a broad range of commonly used paints, greases, rubber parts etc.

Protection period

The protection period depends on the tightness of the packing unit. It is therefore very important that the package is sealed well. However it is not necessary to seal the package air-tight. The maximum distance between the VCI film and the metal surface should not exceed 30 cm. VCI stretch films are needed for the sufficient protection from one months, up to two years.

Applications

VCI stretch film is recomended for iron and non iron metal parts. It can be used as common commercial PE-film. It can be used for spare parts, electrical or electronic components, coils, pipes, profiles or wires, CKD parts are protected by shrouds or liners for shipping containers.
