Raw Materials
The raw materials used in cable and wire manufacturing include copper, aluminum, and plastics. These materials are carefully selected for their conductivity, durability, and flexibility. The manufacturing process begins with the extrusion of the raw materials into thin wires that will be used to create the cables.
Stranding and Insulation
Once the wires have been extruded, they are stranded together to create the desired thickness. The strands are then coated with insulation to protect the wires from damage and to prevent electrical interference. This process requires precision and attention to detail to ensure the quality of the finished product.
Jacketing and Shielding
After the wires have been stranded and insulated, they are jacketed to provide additional protection and to make the cables easier to handle. Some cables also require shielding to prevent electromagnetic interference. The materials used for jacketing and shielding depend on the specific application of the cable.
