Vistamaxx™ propylene-based elastomer (PBE) can inspire innovation and provide multiple opportunities for compounders, converters, OEMs and resin manufacturers to add value. As an additive in compounds, it can enhance the properties of polyolefin blends and multi-layer structures; provide new cost solutions; simplify processing; and contribute to potential sustainability benefits* by potentially reducing raw material use, lowering energy consumption and enabling product scrap recycling.

Vistamaxx PBE is compatible with a range of polymers and is a suitable replacement for polymers such as polyisobutylene (PIB), styrene isoprene styrene (SIS) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC). In complex blends, it can also be used as a universal carrier and can be loaded with high levels of filler while maintaining good physical properties. This can provide opportunities for compounders to simplify formulations, downgauge material use and reduce costs.

Compounders can also streamline production. Non-hydroscopic free-flowing pellets, Vistamaxx PBE can be dry blended into compounds and formulations, or added to a hopper prior to processing.
