Tackifier Resin for Rubber Development and retention of Tack is an important property for fabrication of rubber stocks. rubber tackification is important to the tyre industry where fabrication operations demand high degree of tack. Tack or tackiness of rubber compounds is the property which allows two uncured or unvulcanised pieces of rubber to adhere to each other when brought into contact under moderate pressure. Tackification of rubber compounds is often as "Building Tack" or "Green Tack" by the rubber processors It is a substituted Phenol Formaldehyde Resin designed for tackifying synthetic rubbers. This resin is highly effective in "Building Tack" and improving adhesion in Butyl, Styrene-butadiene, Polybutadiene and ethylene- Propylene rubbers. The resin has little effect on cure. Typical Properties Appearance: Pale Yellow to amber coloured lumps Melting Point(0C)(Ring & Ball method): 95-105 Specific Gravity : 1.01 Solubility: Soluble in Hydrocarbon solvents.
