For curing Butyl Rubber
Vulcanised Butyl Rubber is characterised by its outstanding properties namely low impremeability to gases, good low temperature properties, resistance to ozone, to animal and vegetable fats and oils, to ester based lubricants, to acids and alkalies and to oxidative degradation even at elevated temperatures.
One of the significant advances in the technology of Butyl Rubber compounding is attributable to the development and commercial availability of substituted Phenol Formaldehyde Resin as curing agent.
