We are manufacturers of recycled LDPE Granules:
- Density: 0.917 to 0.94 g / cm3
- Glass transition temperature: -110 Degree C
- UV light resistance: Fair
- Max. continuous service temperature: 80 to 100 Degree C
- Min. continuous service temperature: - 70 Degree C
- Thermal insulation (thermal conductivity): 0.32 to 0.35 W / m. k.
The most common process used for LDPE is extrusion (tubes, blow and cast films, cables,). LDPE can also be processed by injection molding or roto molding
Extrusion:
- Melt temperature: 180 to 240 Degree C
- Higher melt temperature are needed for extrusion - coating (280 to 310 Degree C)
- A three zone screw with a L / D ratio of around 25 is recommended.
Injection molding:
- Melt temperature: 160 to 260 Degree C
- Post mold shrinkage lies between 1.5 and 3.5 percent
Applications:
1) Packing:
- Pharmaceutical and squeeze bottles
- Caps and closures
- Tamper evidents
- Liners
- Trash bags
- Films for food packaging (Frozen, dry goods..)
2) Consumer goods:
- Housewares
- Flexible toys
3) Agriculture:
- Agricultural films
4) Pipes and fittings:
- Water pipes and hoses
5) Wiring and cables:
- Sub - conductor insulators
- Cable jacketing
Limitations:
- Susceptible to environmental stress cracking
- Low strength. Stiffness and maximum service temperature
- High gas permeability, particularly carbon dioxide
- Poor UV resistance
- Highly flammable
- High - frequency welding and joining impossible.
Key Performances:
- Low cost
- Process ability
- Flexibility
- Good mechanical properties
- Excellent chemical resistance
- Very low water absorption
- Good electrical insulating properties
