This dart impact strength tester is designed to ASTM D 1709 BS, DIN, ISO, IS: 2508 (Indian Standard) or according to customer's required specification.
- A two piece annular specimen clamp having an inside diameter of 127mm.
- The movable part of clamp is maintaining positive contact with the lower part of the contact to hold the film sample firmly.
- Pneumatically operated clamps have been used to hold film successfully in to the clamps.
- Electromagnet withstand 2 kg weight. Electromagnet unit is to be equipped with a centering device to ensure reproducible drop. Electric power is used to energize and de-energize the electromagnet.
- Positioning device is provided to positioning the dart at a different drop height.
- Positioning device is built in two parts. One is for 22cms and 66cms and another is suitable up to 152.4cm.
- Dart and weights: As per standard Test Methods A and B darts with hemispherical heads.
