PE Conductive Black
Applications:-
1. Extruded Products:
Conductive Films and Bags:-
These provide protection to highly sensitive ESDS devices which are susceptible to static voltages. The bags are intended for storing electrostatic sensitive devices such as ICs to avoid damages by electrostatic discharge. The ESD sensitive parts and assemblies can be stored in these bags during intermediate stages of testing, transport, packing and field repairs.

Heavy duty bags can be used for the handling of explosive powders and electronic components and also as drum liners.

PE CB compound can be used for production of flexible hose, sheet slock, apron, gloves in clean room assembly conditions in electronic industry.

The PE CB compound is also suggested for use if required with PP carrier resin to produce twist tape in raffia bag/FIBC construction. The black conductive/antistatic tape discharges the static build-up in transporatation, handling and storage of electrostatic prone sensitive products.
2. Injection Moulded Products:-
Containers for electronic parts, twist traps, heel protectors for use in static charge generation environment.

Properties:
Melt Index ASTM D 1238 (190/5 kg):- 0.5 9/10 minutes
Surface Resistivity Cir-Q-Tech Resisitivity Meter <104 Ohms Sq.
3. Processing:-
  a. Moisture:- PE CB compound may absorb when stored under damp/humid conditions. It may, therefore, be necessary to dry the compound prior to use. Usually 2-4 hours in a hopper drier to sufficient to reduce the mositure content to an acceptable level.
  b. Extrusion:- The compound can be processed on conventional Polyethylen extrusion equipment. The following parameters may be set for extruding tubular film.

Barrel Die
110-180ºC 190ºC

Actual extrusion temperature would depend on the nature of equipment used. As aid to the elimination of moisture porasity, it is advisable to cool the extrudate as soon as possible after it leaves it dies.
  c. Injection Moulding:-The compound can be processed on most types of injection moulding machinery but because of high filler content, the use of preplasticising machinery is recommended. As a general guide, a melt temperature of between 190ºC and 230ºC should prove adequate Mouldings would have a reasonable finished when moulded at 220ºC.
  d. Packing:- The compound is pellet form in packed in 25 kg HDPE raffia bag with internal PE liner. It should be stored in a dry place.
