Anti fibrillating Masterbatches

Anti- Split additives are calcium carbonate filled masterbatces for the plastics woven sacks industry. The wide range has been developed after careful consideration of the final properties required in the raffia tapes, difficulties faced by the processors at the tape plant for line speeds up to 500 meters per minute. Addition levels required for specific end usage, cement bags, PP sacks, PE sacks, Fertilizer bags, Flexible intermediate, Bulk Containers, Leno Bags, Tarpaulins, Bale Covers, Geo Textiles, and Carpet Yarns etc.

Filler Masterbatches

Filler mastebatches and compounds for the production of liners, shopping Bags, grocery bags, PE pouches. Calcium carbonate/talc filled masterbatches for the film bags industry consists of whole range in milky as well as natural effects. These are designed for bubble stability at the plant and anti-burn at the die lips at higher loadings than the conventional masterbatches available in the market. These are specially formulated by compounding blended polyolefins with micronized calcium carbonate in the most modern compounding extrusion plants employing the latest state-of-the-art technology. The plants are equipped with sophisticated controls to achieve the desired results from a very high degree of dispersion to the required pellet geometry.

Transparent Masterbatches

Transparent masterbatches and compounds for the production of Coloured PP tapes, Coloured PE tapes for woven fabrics. Extrusion lamination for tarpaulin, extrusion coating for PP and PE woven fabrics, tapes for leno bags etc. Talc filled masterbatches for these applications have been developed after careful consideration of the final properties required in the end products. These are specially formulated by compounding blended polyolefins with micronized talc in the most modern compounding extrusion plants employing the latest state-of-the-art technology.

White Masterbatches

Titanium dioxide masterbatches with varying degree of opacity for poly-olephinic applications. Wide range of white masterbatches has been developed with maximum whiteness index, high degree of dispersion and opacity to suit specific requirements. These are specially formulated by compounding blended polyolefins with Titanium dioxide in the most modern compounding extrusion plants employing the latest state-of-the-art technology.

U.V. Masterbatches

U.V. masterbatches based on hindered amine stabilizers (HALS) with PE resins as carrier. All polyolefins HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE, PP products in outdoor applications are exposed to UV solar radiations, the energy of this radiation is sufficient to initiate photochemical radiations leading to degradation. In the absence of UV stabilizers polyolephinic products have poor stability; the practical consequences of unchecked exposure to UV radiations are discoloration, surface crazing, and formation of surface micro cracks, embitterment and loss of mechanical properties- tensile strength, elongation and impact strength. Soltex UV masterbatches are very effective stabilizers for polyolefins as they inhibit degradation of polyolefinic products at low concentrations. It gives an excellent extraction resistance, low gas fading and low pigment interaction. Soltex offers 10% and 20% HALS UV concentrate masterbatches in PE and PP Carrier. These UV masterbatches can be used in the manufacture of Jumbo bags(FIBCS) Big Bags, Tarpaulins, Green house films, Garden nets, moulded furniture, rotomoulded tanks, PE drums thin walled products, films etc. Dosage: 0.5- 3%

Nucleating Agents

Nucleating agents with Sorbet based Technology and alternatively with a proprietary technology of Soltex. These nucleating agents enhance the clarity of polypropylene products like disposable syringes, bottles, jugs, films, containers, buckets etc. Also it improves stiffness and stress crack resistance. This is a result of formation of large number of micro size speculates increasing transmission of more light and reducing scattering of light. Usage depends on the type of PP-lesser with random PP and more with homo-polymer. Also it depends upon the thickness of the product. More usage with thicker section and lesser with thinner section. Dosage: 1- 2%

Impact Modifiers

Highly engineered impact modifiers which are unique such that they can act as an impact modifier as well as modifier for various types of resins.

Polymer Processing Aids

Polymer processing aid based on fluorocarbon polymer and PE carrier resins. These processing aids eliminate melt fracture, shark skin effect in LLDPE and HDPE processing. It reduces die lip build up, processing temperature and increases throughput. Dosage: 0.5- 1%

Anti-Oxidant Masterbatches

Anti-oxidant masterbatches which are combination of primary and secondary oxidants compounded in PE carrier resin. Soltex anti oxidant masterbatches prevents degradation of plastics during processing and exposure to atmospheric oxidation. It increases the oxidation Induction time and helps retaining the physical properties of the end products. Soltex antioxidant masterbatches find application in LD, LLDPE, HDPE, films, pipes, blow moulded and injection moulded products. Dosage: 0.5-2%

Anti-Block Masterbatches

Anti-block masterbatches based on precipitated silica in PE and EVA resin carrier. These anti-block masterbatches block the tendency of two films in contact with each other. E.g. thin LD, LLD, EVA films. Dosage: 0.5- 1 %

Slip Masterbatches

Slip mastebatches with erucamide as slip additive in PE carrier resins. Soltex slip masterbatches reduces co-efficient of friction of PE films making the film surface very smooth. This is very effective with LDPE, LLDPE films finding application in FFS machines. Dosage: 0.5- 1%

Optical Brightener Masterbatches

Optical brighteners masterbatches with PE as carrier. These optical brightener masterbatches absorb light from lower frequency range of normal visible spectrum and reflects back with a bluish tinge which suppresses the yellow index of the polymer giving glossy surface. It is very useful in monolayer and multilayer films, shopping bags, injection moulding and blow moulding products. It gives brightness in whiteness natural and coloured products. Dosage: 0.1- 1%

PP Compounds

PP compounds based on minerals compounded with polypropylene. Soltex PP compounds have been developed after careful consideration of the final properties required in moulded furniture , cooler body, textile bobbin, mosquito repellent body, washing machine parts, iron body and grinder machine parts. These are specially formulated by compounding PP homo-polymer with micronized minerals in the most modern compounding extrusion plants employing the latest state-of-the-art technology. The plants are equipped with sophisticated controls to achieve the desired results from a very high degree of dispersion to the required pellet geometry. Soltex offers PP compounds for automotive applications. It includes elastomer modified UV stabilized PP compounds, mineral filled elastomer modified UV stabilized separate resistant PP compounds, mineral filled high impact PP compounds, talc filled PP compounds, wollastonite filled PP compounds. We also offer custom made PP compounds as per the customer’s requirements.

Nylon Compounds

Specially treated chopped glass fibers compounded with nylons with 15-30% glass filling. Soltex nylon compounds are made to impart high mechanical properties and heat resistance to the compounds. It gives good weathering resistance and excellent chemical resistance, easy process ability, fast cycle time and easy mould release.

Glass Filled Components

Glass compounded with PBT in 15%, 20% and 30% composition for various applications. Soltex also offers Fire retardant PBT-FR compounds in above composition.

TPE’s and TPR’s

Thermoplastic elastomer compounds are based on the chemistries of styrene block polymers, styrene ethylene, butylenes styrene, polyolefins, polystyrenes, nylons, polycarbonates and acrylonitrile butadiene.

TPVS

Soltex is in a process of developing thermoplastic Vulcan sates with soft touch, dry feel, resilient and good low temperature flexibility for grips, tubes, hoses, body side moldings, extruded gaskets, profiles etc.

Nano-compounds for UV applications

SOLTEX NANO: compound is a result of in house R&D of Soltex, these compounds enhance the product quality when used along with a UV masterbatch resulting in higher retention value after exposure to UV radiations.
