The
use of phthalates faces restrictions for delicate applications such
as toddlers’ toys, until sufficient evidence is obtained to
prove their influence. In the mean time, another plasticizer
called Acetyl Tributyl Citrate ( ATBC) is being considered for such
delicate applications, where migration of phthalates from toys while
chewing by toddlers was a major concern.
