1.5" Killion 30/1 L/D vented extruder with electrically heated air cooled barrel.
Extruder includes (3) 2-stage screws, (2) single-stage screws.
Driven by 15 hp DC motor with 11.2/1 gear ratio.
Has standard top center feed, stainless steel hopper, and
Base mounted 8-zone temperature control panel with
Eurotherm Model 94C instruments.
Includes Sterlco 9kw water heater for screw rotary union.
Previously used on 1 mil/20 mil product.
Has 8" Masterflex sheet die with back center feed.
Downstream includes 5" o.d. x 8" wide Killion 3-roll sheet stack.
Has (2) ceramic rolls installed and (1) polished chrome roll.
Spare rolls include (1) matt finish, (2) rubber rolls, (2) chrome rolls.
Each roll equipped with Sterlco 9kw temperature controller, 230 volt AC input.
Chrome rolls are driven by 2 hp motor.
Downstream also includes: Razor edge trim slitting station,
Auxiliary unwind for extrusion coating capability with 3" air shaft and control,
Single position winder with 6" air shafts and control.
Has Allen Bradley touch screen operator controls.
Still installed in laboratory setting.
