For Sale - UM - 1560 - NRM / Marshall and Williams Sheet Extrusion Line

Used NRM / Marshall and Williams sheet extrusion line last used to extrude up to .310 (8 mm) thick fractional melt (.25) LDPE sheet at rates to 2600 lbs. per hour. Line consists of the following:

A) (1) Used 6" 32:1 NRM extruder having an electrically heated, liquid cooled (closed loop) barrel at a 42-1/2" centerline height but currently mounted on movable base supplying total 84" center line height. Feed throat is center oblong measuring 7" wide x 13" long. Gearbox has a reduction ratio of 17.16:1 and is direct driven by a 400 hp DC motor with SCR controller. Gearbox is rated at 400 hp at 1750 input at a service factor of 1.25. Temperature control is via maco programmer with touch screen controls. Mounted on extruder discharge is a 6" extech screen changer with hydraulic power pack. Extruder is mounted on a motorized carriage with all heat panels prewired and mounted on same base. (2) Spare screws included.

B) (1) Used 72" EDI Ultra flex HR-75 sheet die, having upper flexible lip with micro adjustment. Fixed removable lower lip supplying .165-.240 gap. Vertical restrictor bar. Die has external / internal deckling provision with gear driven adjustment. A static mixer is mounted between the die and screen changer.

C) (1) Used Marshall & Williams sheet take-off consisting of (3) 73" face chrome rolls mounted in a vertical arrangement for down stack operation at approximately an 84" centerline height. Equipment # Z4330, PO # 3249-D1-50002, model # 2891, SO# 36343. Top roll is 18" in diameter while middle and bottom rolls are 24" in diameter. Top and bottom rolls are hydraulically actuated with heavy-duty cylinders. Includes (2) spare unused 24" OD polished chrome rolls, (1) spare unused 18" polished chrome roll and (1) spare unused rubber covered pull roll. Each roll is individually driven with the top roll having a 5 hp DC drive system through a precision two stage gearbox while the middle and bottom rolls are each driven by a 7.5 hp DC motor through a precision two stage gearbox. Bottom roll can also be adjusted via gear head motor driven wedge system with LVDT on each side of the roll. Roll temperature via a Marshall & Williams (3) zone stand-alone temperature control system each with 7.5 hp pump, heat exchangers and heaters. Downstream from the cooling/polishing stand is an additional cooling stand consisting of (3) 73" face x nominal 10" diameter chrome plated rolls with rotary unions mounted in approximately a 45 degree incline. Equipped with pull roll system consisting of (1) approximately 6" diameter chrome rubber roll with rotary union and (1) rubber covered roll.

D) (1) Used 72" wide Wysong electromechanical shear rated at 14 gauge in mild steel, model 1472P.
