With following specifications:
The typical range of equipment needed for a compounding line is as follows:
- Twin screw extruder 48 to 60 mm diameter with an L/D ratio of 30-40:1
- Materials Blender complete with hopper loader and possibly peristaltic pump so the liquid can be metered into the compounder
- 8 to 10 stand die head cooling bath in the order of 3-5 m long with associated chiller and heat exchanger
- Strand Air Wiper
- Strand pelletizer
- Vibrating sieve unit
- Hopper loader to transfer material to bagging unit
- Bagging unit
