The year 2006 was momentous for KET. Global giants Battenfeld of Germany and American Maplan of USA, both part of SMS Group - Plastic Technology Business, became KET’s J V Partners in April. SMS Group is a global conglomerate with Sales of Euro 2.33 bn (Indian Rs. 14003 crore) for 2005. The Group operates in the Business Areas of Metallurgical plant/Rolling Mill technology, Tube/Long product/Forging technology and Plastics technology. Battenfeld Extrusion Systems, China, visited India in November, 2006. The visit was to get an overview of the Indian Plastic Extrusion business and to develop strategies with KET to work on the growth of plastic extrusion machinery in India and world wide. They also visited KET’s manufacturing facilities at Daman. While expressing their appreciation, they said that KET is now viewed as a major manufacturing hub with an important role in their global market strategy In a strategy meeting, Mr. Studener emphasized the importance of corporate branding and the success of the BEX Brand. Thereafter, Mr. S.V.Kabra, highlighted the growth prospects of the Indian plastic extrusion business and KET’s growth plans. |
