Domestic styrene buyers in USA are likely to see a possible contract roll-over from July to August, in line with a sharp jump in benzene prices as per Platts. A fire at a Formosa refinery in Taiwan, coupled with recent production issues at a European Dow plant, are the trigger factors for pushing the benzene price higher. In recent weeks ethylene price has rebounded to nearly 33 cents/lb.
