Downstream plant shutdowns bring down butadiene prices in Asia

Several downstream SBR, BR and ABS plants in China, Taiwan, South Korea and Japan have imposed production cutbacks or shutdowns. Sellers offers hovered around US$455-500/MT CFR NE Asia and US$500-555/MT CFR SE Asia. Buying ideas have declined to levels about 50 dollars lower, with deal conclusion at buyers' rates.
