HPCL identifies 3000 acres, awaits government clearance for greenfield refinery project in Ratnagiri

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) has identified 3,000 acres of land in the Lote-Parshuram industrial area in Chiplun, Konkan district in Ratnagiri. The company is yet to begin work as it waits for the state government to grant clearances for land allocation. After the necessary clearance, the refining and marketing major plans to commence work on its new 9-15 mln tpa greenfield refinery project in Ratnagiri. A detailed feasibility report on the project has been submitted, appraisal of which is underway along with a review of project financials.
