India to have a new propylene oxide plant

Cochin based Mfar Group, Oman Oil Company, Kochi Refineries Ltd (KRL) and Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) will jointly set up a new propylene oxide plant. Results of a feasibility study conducted by an international consultant appointed by the partners, will be completed by next month. Investment outlay for the project will be about Rs 1,000 crores. Feedstock propylene will be supplied from the nearby Kochi Refineries by pipeline.
