Ticona Engineering Polymers (a business of Celanese Corp) has successfully commenced operations at the Celanese integrated complex in Nanjing, China. Plant capacity is at 20,000 tons of GUR ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE), augmenting the company's total capacity from the three plants to 90,000 tons.
This new facility extends Ticona's overall manufacturing capability, giving Ticona the global footprint it needs to provide a consistent brand experience with identical grades, performance characteristics and specifications to all its customers, whether they are in Europe, the Americas or Asia.
