Azelis has announced their appointment as distributor by leading producer Momentive, to service the Coatings sector in Russia. From October 1st 2012, Azelis offers Momentive’s high quality range of water based dispersions for paints, under the well known brand name AXILAT™.
Benoit Fritz, Business Director Industrial, states: “We are delighted to extend our existing European agreements with leading supplier Momentive. Both companies have enjoyed a successful relationship for many years with these products. This is a major step forward for the Azelis Coatings business in Russia.”
Momentive’s extensive range of polymer dispersions allows customers to explore performing and innovative solutions. With new upcoming legislations for the use of volatile organic compounds (VOC) in paint and coatings, Momentive has recognised the need for improved key raw materials for water-based systems. The AXILAT™ polymer dispersion range includes many products based on Momentive’s key technologies, targeting various applications in paints and coatings that are field and factory applied. Michel Dumusois, International Business Director Coatings, adds: ”Coupled with Momentive’s support, Azelis will leverage our existing knowledge of these products to facilitate our local teams to effectively penetrate the attractive growth market for Momentive products in Russia.”
Azelis’ Russian operations have grown since its formation in 2008. Igor Loginov, General Manager Russia, continues: “We will utilize our international logistics infrastructure together with local warehousing, stringent SHEQ standards and full REACH compliance. Our established local technical and commercial teams are well placed to provide first class service to customers.” Azelis also plans to further invest in people and facilities and is building a new Coatings laboratory in Sankt Augustin (Germany). Planned for completion by the end of 2012, Azelis will further support customers by providing in-depth knowledge of the latest raw materials and their use in pioneering coatings applications.
