EPC contract signed for Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Complex

Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical LLC (NSRP) jointly established by Idemitsu Kosan Co.,Ltd., Mitsui Chemicals, Inc., Kuwait Petroleum International and PetroVietnam, signed on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract with a construction consortium on January 27. JGC Corporation, Chiyoda Corporation, Technip Group (France, Malaysia), SK Engineering & Construction Co.Ltd. (South Korea), and GS Engineering & Construction Corporation (South Korea)are members of the construction consortium. After completion of syndication procedures of a co-financing arrangement with international commercial banks, Export Credit Agencies and Multi-Lateral Agency, NSRP will commence EPC this coming summer, with mechanical completion expected by end of 2016, and commercial operation expected to commence in mid 2017.
