Gulf Petroleum deploys consultant for O&G complex in Malaysia

Having obtained Malaysia's regulatory approval in April, Gulf Petroleum plans to build an integrated oil and gas complex constituting an oil refinery, petrochemical project and storage facilities in the initial five year phase. For this, a top international energy consultant has been deployed by Qatar's Gulf Petroleum to initiate a feasibility study for its US$5 bln integrated oil and gas complex in Malaysia. The consultant is expected to complete the final feasibility study within 8 weeks. The proposed complex is slated to be Gulf Petroleum's focal point for its activities in the Asia Pacific region. The construction of the complex is estimated to commence by the year end, subject to the fact that everything falls into place.
