INEOS licenses Innovene PP process to Ningxia Baofeng Energy Group Co. Ltd.

INEOS Technologies has licensed its Innovene PP process for the manufacture of polypropylene homopolymers, random copolymers and impact copolymers to the Ningxia Baofeng Energy Group Company Limited in Ningxia, China. Output from the 300,000 tpa PP plant will serve the growing market in China. Feedstock for the plant will be produced using locally sourced coal via the Methanol-to-Olefins (MTO) process. This is the fourth licence acquired by Chinese companies building MTO plants.
