Australia-headquartered Amcor PET Packaging, a leading manufacturer of PET packaging has devised an innovative lightweight 'Lemon top' PET juice package design for USA's leading private label juice provider, Cliffstar Corporation. The unique package has a lemon-shaped top, lemon-peel like texture and the leaves embossed on the surface to communicate the brand quality of the product. The new 'Lemon Top' package is being produced at Brampton-based facility in Ontario, Canada and at Lenexa-based facility in Kansas, US.
The new package adds no expenditure in the company's filling lines or other processes, the company states. Also, the base package area remains the same including the same label panel, same label, same application process. Moreover, Amcor's 'Lemon Top' design, provides a sizeable 10 gram or 21% reduction in weight leading to less material usage.
