Mitsubishi Chemical Corp. plans to restart its No.2 naphtha cracker in east Japan after a scheduled maintenance has been completed. The 476,000 tpa cracker at Kashima was initially planned to be shut for maintenance from June 28-Aug. 15. However, the extended repair work on the 375,000 tpa No.1 cracker at the Kashima forced a delay in the schedule of the No. 2 plant to July 7.
