Oil prices rise on stronger demand for heating oil from USA

Oil prices have bounced back on strengthening demand from US for heating oil. New York's main contract, light sweet crude for delivery in February rose to US$93.4l and Brent North Sea crude for February delivery rose US$110.5. However, an impending showdown in the US Congress over the debt ceiling could limit gains.
