When it comes online in 2013, the Jubail refinery will be able to process 400,000 bpd of Saudi heavy crude and will be a full-conversion, integrated complex with a variety of compression applications, including sour service, hydrogen service and refrigeration. The project includes construction of distillation and hydrotreating, conversion, sulfur and amine saltwater treatment, aromatics and coker. The Saudi heavy crude will be refined to produce high-quality transportation fuels and petrochemicals for markets in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
