  • Unique combination of polar and apolar functionalities that lead to affinity with wide range of macromolecules
  • Mean particle size of 0.095–0.130 µm for different grades
  • Specific surface area of 80–120 m²/g
  • Customised surface treatment for different applications

This new solution can also be applied to the following industry sectors: Automotives – for downgauging, improving tensile, flexural & impact strength and lowering the weight of components Packaging – to improve barrier properties, clarity and mechanical properties Wires & cables – to improve fire-retardant properties Nylon fibres & nylon tire cords – to improve mechanical properties

To share efforts to implement green manufacturing globally, Bayer MaterialScience will have an 'Innovation & Sustainability' desk in their booth at Plastivision India 2013. As the inventor of polyurethanes and polycarbonates more than 50 years ago, the company is considered one of the leaders in pioneering safety and security practices. The company will interact with the industry about its offering towards sustainability and environment protection. “We have constantly improvised on our processes and systems. We have in place global processes to ensure comprehensive safety of our employees, the people in the vicinity of our sites and the environment. An example of our commitment to the environment is the EcoCommercial Building Program, one of the lighthouse projects that make up the Bayer Sustainability Program. Energy consumption in the construction sector accounts for about 40 per cent of worldwide consumption. The EcoCommercial Building at Greater Noida is a net-zero or rather net-positive building, wherein its consumption is actually lesser than the energy it produces through various materials, many of which have been researched by Bayer MaterialScience.
