Taiwan's Formosa Chemicals and Fiber Corporation will start construction work on a phenol and acetone plant in Ningbo, China by mid-2011, as per Platts. Capacities will include 300,000 tpa of phenol, and 180,000 tpa of acetone. Construction work is slated to be completed by the end of 2013. The plant will source benzene and propylene feedstock locally and from abroad.
