Asahi Kasei Spunbond Thailand (AKST) is to double its production of polypropylene spunbonded nonwovens with the installation of a dedicated new line. The ¥5 billion investment at the company’s plant in the Saha Group Industrial Park in Siracha, Chonburi Province, Thailand, will give it a capacity of 40,000 tons annually on start-up in November 2015.
