Borealis plans to shutter its 220,000 tpa HDPE line in Beringen, Belgium. The company is in negotiations with the Belgian trade unions as the shutdown will affect 109 of the site’s roughly 430 jobs. At the site, Borealis operates two PP lines and a compounding plant with total capacity of 365,000 tpa.
