Construction work has kicked off for Braskem's new 200,000 tpa green polyethylene plant in Triunfo Complex. In the beginning of January, the Environmental Protection Foundation (Fepam) granted the Installation License (LI), which authorizes the beginning of the construction process. Braskem is working on engineering project details and will outlay R$ 500 mln (approx. US$210 mln) in installing the new unit next to Basic Petrochemical Unit Plant 2.
