Gains in the stock markets and a rising euro have pushed up oil prices to over US$72.5 a barrel in Asia. Stocks markets rose e and Asia as the euro advanced to US$1.2594. Markets in USA were closed for the Fourth of July holiday.
Investor fears of a double-dip recession in Europe and USA later this year.
