Plastic bag making unit commences production in Cuban-Venezuelan venture

About two years ago, 10 projects were included in the petrochemical complex to be sited adjacent to the revamped binational oil refinery Mario Balmaceda. The binational refinery in Cuba is a joint venture between Cuba and Venezuela. A plastic bag making plant has commenced operations at the site. The unit has annual capacity to produce 250 mln bags, and has been built with Venezuela's assistance is based on Italian technology. It is the first of 10 projects included in the petrochemical complex and will supply to the domestic market.
