The K Alliance is growing - and its next chapter is being written in India. The K Alliance expands its presence in one of the fastest-growing plastics markets in the world. PLASTFOCUS is officially joining the family. Messe Düsseldorf India Pvt. Ltd. and the Plastics Machinery Manufacturers Association of India (PMMAI India) have entered a long-term strategic partnership, becoming co-owners of PLASTFOCUS EXHIBITION. From 2027, the two will jointly organise the event - and PLASTFOCUS becomes part of the K Alliance. "India is one of the most important future markets for the plastics industry. By integrating PLASTFOCUS into the K Alliance, we will be creating a strong platform for our customers in a highly dynamic environment and are further expanding K's global reach", says Marius J. Berlemann, Chief Operating Officer at Messe Düsseldorf. The market context explains the move: studies estimate India's plastics industry at more than USD 44 billion in 2025, with growth expected to exceed USD 63 billion by 2031. Annual consumption has reached around 22 million tons, while per capita consumption remains comparatively low - a clear indicator of long-term potential. Beginning with the 2027 edition, PLASTFOCUS moves from Noida/Delhi to Bengaluru. The next edition takes place from 23 to 26 June 2027 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), biennially thereafter.
