CPC Corp sells 10,000 mt of propylene for November loading

Taiwan's state-owned CPC Corp has sold about 10,000 mt of propylene for November loading, as per sources in Platts. The deal was heard concluded late Tuesday at US$1170/mt FOB Kaohsiung. Since August 1, it has sold about 51,900 mt of propylene on a spot basis. Until July 31, CPC rarely sold propylene on a spot basis. After an underground pipeline blast led to the shutdown of major customer, Lee Chang Yung Chemical Industry Corp.'s 400,000 tpa polypropylene plant, CPC has commenced spot propylene sales.
