SABIC has recently added a new random PP copolymer grade: SABIC® PP 680K to its polypropylene (PP) portfolio for extrusion blow moulding. The company claims that the new grade is particularly suited for applications which demand outstanding transparency, high temperature resistance and a good stiffness and impact balance. The properties of SABIC® PP 680K perfectly serve applications within food packaging as well as bottle applications within personal care and household chemicals such as detergents. Due to its property profile SABIC® PP 680K is able to combine these different requirements into one single grade solution.
Tjerk Lenstra PP Technical Marketing Engineer SABIC Europe explains: "This SABIC® PP blow moulding grade also closes the gap between the renowned SABIC® PP Vestolen P 9421 grades for extrusion pipe applications and its high flow injection moulding grade SABIC® PP RA12MN40. In the same line SABIC launched its SABIC®PP 670Kh for caps& closures and houseware earlier this year."
